Ultra Electronics PMES has been a UK leader in the supply of high quality dc power systems for traction applications for over 50 years. Previously marketed under the ‘Foster’ and ‘THORN EMI’ brand names, equipment has been supplied to Network Rail (formerly Railtrack), London Underground and many overseas transit authorities.

Ultra Electronics PMES can supply equipments as stand alone units, although contracts are often for turnkey projects including complete DC substation design and supply. Scope of supply regularly includes system design, integration and co-ordination, project management, equipment supply, supervision of installation and commissioning.
