Personalised career progression - Unlike other large engineering groups, Ultra is made up of small individual businesses, which means that you can quickly establish yourself. Career progression is supported within all departments. PMES recognises  and  supports  the importance of your career development and your future potential. Our aim is to help you to achieve your full potential by developing your skills, knowledge and experience. There are opportunities for development and progression through management and technical routes.

Succession planning

As an organisation, succession planning is critical to our success - In addition to this process, at least once a year you will receive a performance and development review. This review includes a section that focuses on career planning.

Employee Development – On and off the job training is offered to encourage continuous professional growth, developing individual and business success. You will be responsible for your own training and development with the support of your line manager and the HR department. 

Graduates – Engineering Graduates who join PMES will quickly have opportunities to work on a diverse range of exciting projects with world-class people to learn from.

Apprentices – PMES has a long history of growing talent. Having developed engineering apprentices from the shop floor into Engineering Managers. PMES currently recruits apprentices on an annual basis and works closely with local education providers to ensure that apprentices receive recognised qualifications alongside relevant practical experience in the workplace.
